I chose to watch Supernatural Academy when it was just released on Netflix because I saw nothing else appealing before eating a pepperoni pizza at 2 am and after watching the whole series and feeling my brain churning about how bad the plot and the 3D modeling was (seriously!), and then I find out it came from a book series? I thought to myself, "Sooo why not write my own fantasy novel? Yeah, like, I could do that?....maybe?"

I like Mattias because, to a degree, he does reflect my own experience when it comes to dealing with people and second-guessing myself. He also, at times, rambles off his thoughts, but we see how he comes to conclude an idea in the best of nature.

Personally, I liked the mountain lion attack scene because it was the scene I had kept thinking about before writing this book.

There are references to movies and other fantasy stories that revert to this genre. Although I'm not telling so I don't get sued!

I like to have a nice Cup of Calm or Sleepy Time Tea, a scented Yankee Candle, and sometimes Lofi Study Music while I’m writing. I also try to push my brain to do more than 2,500 words a day. Part of the motivation comes from the fact that this is a story I want to read and see how it ends, and the only way to see that is by writing the story and letting my brain sink into its dreaming while my fingers type. In the zone, you could call it.

I like reading first-person-view adventure novels. Originally, the story was written in the third-person view when I started, but the story felt distant to me personally.

Well, Mattias is the only relevant speaker in the story, and I have played the lead in shows before, so it wouldn't be too difficult to memorize all those lines.
